Who licenses the footage

Clips and photos on nickvideo.com are shot by Nick Goodwin and licensed by Pixelhawk LLC (nickvideo.com) ("we"). When you buy, you get a license to use the item. You do not get ownership or the copyright.

Every license

Per item: one purchase covers one clip, one clip segment or one photo, for the licensee named at checkout (and on the certificate).
One-time payment, non-exclusive, perpetual and worldwide, within the limits of the tier you bought.
Non-transferable. On Commercial and above you may use the item in work for one end client and hand them the finished project.
You may edit, crop, grade, retime and combine the item with other material, within your tier.

Declared use: Your license tier is assigned from the use you declare at checkout, and your declared use is printed on your license certificate. The license covers that declared use only. If your use changes (for example, paid promotion, a wider reach, or broadcast), you need the matching license before that use. A license bought on an inaccurate declaration does not cover the undeclared use.

Broadcasters: TV networks, news outlets, streaming services and other broadcasters: local or regional use is covered by Print & Ads, nationwide use by National, and international use by a Custom license (quoted on request).

Non-profits: Registered non-profits, schools and government bodies can request 30% off. The discount applies only after we verify the organization and send a private offer.

Custom: exclusive use, film and theatrical release, merchandise or templates for resale, or anything the tiers don't cover. As agreed in writing for this project. Custom licenses are only valid once we confirm them in writing. Ask for a quote.

Personal (private offer only): Nick may, at his discretion, offer a personal, non-commercial license or special pricing to one named buyer by a private link. It covers only what the offer states, is valid only for that buyer, and is not listed publicly.

Not allowed on any tier

No resale or redistribution of the files. You may not sell, give away, share or upload the files (edited or not) as stock, in a footage or photo pack, on a file-sharing site, or in any way that lets someone else extract and use the item on its own. Sharing with your own editors, contractors or printers for your project is fine.
No use to train or test AI or machine-learning models, or in datasets.
No use in a logo, trademark or brand identity; no defamatory, offensive or unlawful use; no implying that people or places shown endorse you.
No claiming you shot it, and no registering it with Content ID or similar systems.
The watermarked previews may not be used in finished work.

We license the imagery we captured. Logos, buildings, artworks and other third-party rights shown are not included; you are responsible for any releases your use needs.

Downloads

After payment you get a download link per item, plus its license certificate (PDF). Links work for 30 days with unlimited downloads; each click opens a short-lived secure link. Please save your files. If a link has expired, contact us and we'll send a fresh one.

Refunds

No refund once an item has been downloaded. Before that, refunds are decided case by case: contact us with your order number. A refund or chargeback ends the license for that item and turns off its download links; the certificate then shows as revoked.

If the license is broken

Use outside your tier or these terms ends the license for that item. You can usually fix an honest mistake by upgrading (paying the difference to the right tier).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, USA, and U.S. federal copyright law.

Any dispute about these terms or a license will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts for Tulsa County, Oklahoma, and both parties consent to that venue and jurisdiction.
